EGAN Home Health & Hospice Announces Location-Specific Pages

EGAN Home Health & Hospice to create location-specific pages for each of our nine Locations.

EGAN Hone Health Care and Hospice has nine office locations across Louisiana in order to ensure that our nurses, therapists, home health aids, sitters and hospice personnel (hospice requires an entire team of people including nurses, therapists, physicians, social workers, therapists and spiritual counselors) are always just a phone call away from any and every one of our patients no matter where they are in Louisiana. We strive to ensure that we have the right personnel available 24/7/365, so that when our patients need us – whenever that moment may arise, our highly trained staff is never more than a few minutes away.

As a result of this, we are announcing that we will be creating a separate page for each office location in order to make it easier for our patients to contact us and ensure they are able to contact the right person right away.

EGAN Home Health and Hospice Locations

We will be unveiling our office pages over the next several days, and they’ll be debuting one-by-one, so if your closest office hasn’t yet been posted, please be patient, we’re working diligently and it will be posted as soon as possible.

EGAN Has nine office locations across Southeast Louisiana, including each of the following:

Metairie (serving the New Orleans, Kenner & Jefferson Parish)
Gretna (Serving Marrero, Belle Chasse, Chalmette. St. Bernard, Terrytown & the entire West Bank or Jefferson and Orleans Parish)
Baton Rouge (serving Gonzales, Prairieville and all of East Baton Rouge )
Ponchatoula / Hammond (all of Tangipahoa Parish)
LaPlace (St. Charles Parish)
Franklinton (Folsom and Washington Parish)
Bogalusa (Pine, Bush and Washington Parish
Port Sulphur (serving all of Plaquemines Parish and south Jefferson)
Covington (serving all of the North Shore, including Mandeville, Slidell, Goodbee and Abita Springs)

Each page will contain a brief description of the office, the office staff, local contact information specific to that office location (like phone numbers and addresses), maps and individual photographs of each office on its corresponding page.

We also hope to link to the corresponding Google+ and Google local pages for each office location, as well as our other social accounts.

At EGAN Home Health and Hospice we are constantly striving to ensure the best customer/patient experience possible, and this is the next step in in our company distinguishing itself as the premiere home health and hospice agency in the state.

We look forward to your feedback, and we welcome any suggestions or ideas on how we can improve our user experience to further separate us as the best agency in Louisiana.

Please feel free to contact us 24/7/365 by phone at (888) 835-4474 or contact our webmaster by email at peteregan@eganhealthcare.com.

EGAN Pediatrics Day at the Zoo

EGAN Pediatrics Makes Special Trip to Audubon Zoo

The care team at EGAN Pediatrics recently made a very special trip to the Audubon Zoo with a group of special needs children. By all accounts, it was an enjoyable day for staff, the children and their respective families alike.

For many making the trip, this was their very first-ever visit to the zoo.

For others such as assistant administrator Peter Egan Jr., it was his first visit in nearly 20 years. “It’s even more amazing than I remember it being,” an enthusiastic Egan stated.

The group arrived around 10 am. They split up into groups before meeting back up for lunch in the early afternoon. Some stayed until well into the late afternoon, with the Sea Lion exhibit being among the most popular attractions among the group.

Throughout the day, the specially-made blue EGAN Pediatrics t-shirts made for the event and worn by staff, patients and their families/caregivers could be spotted throughout the zoo. Approximately 60 people attended in total, including the children, their families and caregivers, as well as EGAN Pediatrics employees.

A wonderful time was had by all, and the event was so successful EGAN Pediatrics is considering making it an annual affair.

Gretna, LA Based EGAN Home Health Nurse Goes Above and Beyond

Patient’s Caregiver Makes Special Trip to Commend EGAN Gretna Nurse

Today we had a patient’s caregiver to walk into the Gretna home health care and nursing office because she simply wanted to tell us how exemplary her son’s nurse was. She stated that this nurse is very caring, attentive, detail-oriented, and truly genuine.

Gretna NurseShe went on to say that she only sees her son twice a week, but that she calls everyday just to check in on him to make sure he’s okay. She absolutely raved about this nurse and Egan Healthcare Services / EGAN Nursing as a whole. She explained that she’s had experiences before in the past with another home health agency in Gretna charged with caring for other family members, and although those nurses and agencies were good, they were nothing like this nurse and this company.

SO, thank you Leslie P, RN for exceeding the expectations. Great job on providing exceptional care to the patient and his family.

The original post is below:

EGAN Healthcare Services is pleased to announce the debut of the company’s all-new health care industry job board. The purpose of the board is to serve as a service to the healthcare community, matching up job seekers with open positions at agencies across Southeastern Louisiana.

Health care professionals such as skilled nurses, home health aids, physical and occupational therapists and hospice specialists can now post their resumes online right from the EGAN Healthcare website, where health care agencies can find the perfect candidates to fill their respective openings.

The board may be searched by specialty, industry sub-classification (nurses, hospice workers, home health aids, physical therapists, etc.), city, state, zip code and of course position. Health care industry job seekers are encouraged to participate, and agencies across the entire health care spectrum are encouraged to post their openings to the board in hopes of attracting that perfect candidate.

A 3-month trial involving a single market (Metairie) and a single job specialty (home health aid) drew rave reviews, and participation was beyond even the wildest expectations of the members of EGAN Healthcare’s IT department. Involvement was far greater than anticipated, leading to the expansion of the program by EGAN’s IT personnel.

While far from a finished product, the board features a number of different health care industry specialties, as well as all substantial markets in the Greater New Orleans area and on the North Shore. New positions and job titles will be continuously added to the board until the entire spectrum of health care workers can post their respective resumes and search for jobs within their respective fields online, right from the EGAN Healthcare website.

Egan Healthcare Raising Money for Safe Harbor Christmas Fund

Egan Healthcare to Launch Fundraising Drive for Abused Women, Children

Egan Healthcare Services will be collecting monetary donations, in lieu of a gift exchange, at the company’s Christmas/Holiday party on December 15, 2011. The money will be used to purchase six gift certificates for the residents of the Safe Harbor shelter and advocacy organization for victims of abuse.

Egan Healthcare Helping Raise Money for Safe HarborSafe Harbor is a shelter for abused women and their children. The gift certificates will be given to Safe Harbor wrapped as Christmas gifts to be presented to the six Women residing at the Safe Harbor shelter on Christmas. The women will be able to use the gift certificates to purchase clothing or other items needed to set up and furnish their new homes.

Non-employees may also donate to the fund via PayPal by using the “donate” button located at the bottom of this page.

Ann Winstead, the program Director at Safe Harbor, has suggested the money be used to purchase gift certificated from Target or Walmart, given the cost-effectiveness of both major retailers coupled with the fact that both stores offer just about every product under the sun.

In addition to the gift certificates, the women will also be receiving a gift from Egan Medical, Egan Healthcare’s retail medical equipment division. Specifically, the ladies will each be receiving a bottle of Egan Wellness Clinic brand vitamin D3 supplements, personally formulated by world-renowned nutrition guru Pamela B. Egan.

Donations are voluntary and any amount will be accepted. Gifts for the children are already being provided by other organizations.

Egan Healthcare Services would like to thank Nancy O’Donley for suggesting the project. Egan would also like to thank all who donate for their generosity and selfless willingness to help others who are in need.

Non-Employees may donate to the Safe Harbor Christmas Fund by clicking on the button below.  100% of all money donated by both employees and non-employees will be given to the Safe Harbor organization for the above-stated purposes. The amount of your donation is entirely up to you. A $1 dollar donation is better than no donation at all, and every penny counts.

Donate to Safe Harbor to help abused women and children:

Donate to Safe Harbor, the Muscular Dystrophy Association or FreeChurchWebsites.org

Thanks to all who donate, on behalf of the Egan Healthcare family of companies, and on the behalf of Safe Harbor. The recipients of your generosity are grateful beyond words for all your generous help and assistance.

Note: Anyone interested in learning more about Safe Harbor may do so by visiting the Safe Harbor Times, a daily online newspaper dedicated entirely to topics regarding Safe Harbor, domestic violence, spousal and child abuse, rape and other related topics.
